Since our last meeting . . .

We've also made a Florida trip (shocking, I know) . . .
We left last Thursday and drove to Giff's Mom's (that's Nana and Pepa for those of you that keep up with us). We had a fish fry (ok, I ate chicken) and visited and then we left Hayden for his first night away from us. Hayden had been begging to spend the night with Nana and Pepa so we finally gave in = ) Nana and Pepa were told to keep Hayden in his pack n play (b/c we had to break him of the sleeping with us last time we got back from Florida) . . . I don't think they paid any attention to us b/c we've heard rumors of him sleeping in their big ole bed = )
Giff and I went on down to the lake and met up with Mark, Hannah and Shelby. Usually at the lake we stay at Hannah's Grandfather's place but, on the 4th we go to the other side of the lake and stay with the Park family. They are James and Val and their son Hunter. Their daughter Holly is married to Hannah's brother Christopher so, it's all one big happy family and they've adopted us. . . anyway we go to the Park's for the 4th and have a fantastic time.
So, Thursday we got there late and visited for a minute but mainly we went to sleep. Friday we went to the lake and Pepa, Nana and Aunt Steph came down about noon and brought Hayden back to us. Pepa and Hayden had a big time at the water!

Here's Hayden with Pepa playing in the water

Friday was the 4th so we had a Low Country Boil (ok, I had chicken) and watched the fireworks around the lake. They always have a great show! Is it Low Country Boil or Broil??

Just as a side note . . . the lake is very fertile . . . Mallory is due in November with a little boy (Bo) and Hannah is pregnant with #2 and she's due in February! The 4th of July 2009 is going to be wide open with Shelby - 3, Hayden - 1, Bo - 8 months, and Baby Brock - 5 months!! Are you ready Val and James???!! = )
Saturday we went to the lake and it stormed a little so we came back up.
Aunt Steph, Hayden and Nana . . . Hayden's swimsuit has flames on it = ) Giff with the boat
But it cleared up enough for us to have our annual Luau!

I know my last post said Hayden was sleeping through the night but, that was a hoax . . . he has not done it since then. I think I jinx myself when I post stuff like that so, I'm not going to anymore = )

It is about dang time for a new post! ha! And I can't believe you don't know from my family alone that it is Low Country BOIL! Hence the boiling water to make it. By the way, we are thinking of hosting one this Fall (Sam cooking) so bring your chicken and come on. ha ha! I love all the lake pictures but it makes me sad that we don't have a boat at the lake anymore.
Kudos to you for I believe is the longest blogpost in blogger history! :) Glad you guys had fun in FL! :) How come you managed to hide from the camera? I am guessing you were the photographer! :) I am totally with ya on the chicken girl! ;) No seafood for ME either! :)
