Papa John's 90th Birthday

This past weekend was busy, busy, busy and fun, fun, fun! Friday, Hayden and I ran errands and helped decorate the church for Papa John's 90th Birthday Party! Papa John is Giff's step-grandfather☺ But, he could have been Giff's blood grandfather had it not been for that pesky World War II. You see, Giff's Grandmother (Judy's mom) was dating/engaged to John when she was a teenager. Then he went off to war and she met Bill Kirkland (Giff's Grandfather). They married and had 4 girls (June, Dianne, Sandra and Mrs. Judy). John also married and had 4 kids and each couple was married for over 50 years. Then their spouses passed away within months of each other and they reconnected and got married. They've been married for 12 years and are so cute together.

So, now we're celebrating Papa John's 90th☺ It was a wonderful day of family and friends with BBQ and toasts to a wonderful man.

Hayden loved running around and playing with cousins.
Here he is trying to escape because the big kids were behind this door playing hacky-sack.
