Catching Up

This will be a long blog so stay with me . . .

We just got back from a 10 day tour of Florida. Ok, so not a tour but we did go for 10 days. We headed down 2 Friday's ago at about 8 pm which is when Hayden takes his last bottle before sleeping his 1st 4 hours at night so, we had a wonderful trip down b/c he slept the whole way.

Saturday we went to a wedding for some friends of ours Holly and Christopher. Congratulations you two! It was a beautiful wedding and a wonderful reception/party! I actually got Gifford to dance! That was a feet. If you know Giff, he does not dance. We did not have a 1st dance at or wedding b/c he did not want to have to dance.

Sunday we relaxed around Nana and Pepa's house and my Mom (Nana CC) and Jim (Papa) came by on their way home. They had been in Destin where by youngest brother Jamie was graduating from High School. Congratulations Jamie!

So here are some shots of Mom and Jim.

Let me stop here and tell you that with all the packing we did, I "forgot" the charger for the digital camera so I had to borrow Mrs Judy's camera for the trip. Thanks Nana! Ignore the dates on the pictures. . . . But, when I got home I actually found the charger packed up nice and neat with my socks in my suit case and since it was so hot I never used the socks so I never found the dang charger.

While in Florida we bought a walker for Hayden . . . he's not quite tall enough for it yet but he loves to sit up and watch. He loves TV but I don't want him to get too hooked on it.

Here's Hayden and Daddy. Pepa is making Hayden laugh.

Hayden has started this deal where he wants to sleep with his head hanging off the side. So whether it's the boppy or the arm of a chair he wants his head to hang off . . . we can't figure it out and it truly cannot be comfortable but here is a shot of it.

Monday we went to see Giff's Grandma Sizemore . . . Hayden was a good boy and let us visit for a while. Then we went to the REA which is not really called that anymore but, it's West Florida Electric where Giff's dad Don worked. We took Hayden to show him off to all of Don's co-workers.

Wednesday we went to the Dietrich's with Mark, Hannah and Shelby. The Dietrich's are Hannah's parents and the groom of the wedding that we went to was Hannah's brother Chris. So we went to cook out which actually turned into ordering Pizza. I guess it was just too hot to stand over a grill = )

Shelby is a little momma and she thinks Hayden is her baby. Hannah was holding Hayden and walking him around when he got fussy and Shelby kept telling everyone that, "She took my baby". Shelby would also help us change Hayden and feed him. We put him in her dolly stroller for this shot here . . . Hayden just about collapsed the poor stroller = ) Don't get worried . . . no we did not let her push him around and no we did not leave him in it. . . it was just a photo opp.

Thursday we went to the Lake! You must understand that at the lake we do not get in a hurry and at the lake we do not get dressed up . . . for anything = ) That's what makes the lake so great!

Here's Shelby and Hayden with Mrs. Val Park. She is one of our lake neighbors and great friends. Her daughter Holly was the bride at the wedding we went to.

Here is Mr. James Park with Hayden. The Parks came over to grill some steaks with us on Friday night at the lake.

Here's Hannah with Hayden and bed-head Shelby.

Saturday, we took Hayden down to the lake for his first dip . . . the last trip we took to the lake, it rained and we did not get to put Hayden in the water. So, this was his first time and he loved it . . . or better yet, he did not mind it = ) He did some splashing but I think he was just overwhelmed by the gigantic bathtub experience = )

Here are my beach bums in the water and sitting under the tent.

Saturday night we went back to Nana and Pepa's and grilled hamburgers with Mark, Hannah, Shelby and Aunt Stephanie.

Here's Pepa with Shelby and Hayden.

I'm going to end this post and start a new one for the Family Reunion.
